We recognize that your pet is an important part of the family. In the event of their passing, it is helpful to recognize their role and honor them with a proper burial. Having compassion for the animals we love in death is a testament to their life and the happiness they brought to us. At PetsInRememberance we understand the impact of such a loss. As pet owners ourselves, we believe in offering products that help your pet's legacy endure. The product line offered here provides an elegant and tasteful resting place for your beloved friend.

As depicted above, this casket has a look of natural wood grain for a classic, clean design while the polyurethane resin construction offers strength and durability. It is a non-biodegradable casket so you'll know your pet's remains are protected from the elements and maintained for a peaceful rest. The lid does not need to be vaulted because the polyurethane provides a solid, naturally air tight and water resistant enclosure, able to withstand pressure exceeding 360 pounds per square inch.

Bottom View The interior of each casket has a "Neutral Flex" lining which can be seen in the photo to the left (click to enlarge for further detail). The Wood Grain Finish Pet Casket comes in three finishes: oak, silver-gray and white. You can select your desired model in the drop-down menu option above. This series offers the look of wood combined with the durability of polyurethane. Ultimately, you'll have peace of mind knowing that this casket offers a comfortable burial for your pet.

    Burying Recommendations

    • Always check all county codes before burying for legality
    • Before digging push down with your shovel in a square shape the size width and length hole you will be digging. This will allow you to try to remove the grass and some top soil intact for placement back over the grave
    • Using the shovel, pry up the grass and top soil in sections and place on side for reinsertion later
    • Dig a hole 3 feet deep with enough room to fit the casket in for width and depth
    • Place the casket in the hole and fill dirt around the casket and above the casket, pausing for the next step when you have about 1 inch of dirt on top of the casket
    • Sprinkle the soil at this point with lime to prevent other animals from scavenging your grave site
    • Fill the rest of the way with dirt, compacting it as you go
    • At the top, place your grass and top soil pieces back down. Lightly water your grass in that area for the next few days (intensity of watering depends on season and breed of grass) to try to reduce the shock of uprooting and give it a better chance of taking hold again

Add On: Matching Deluxe Liner (Sold Separately on PetsInRememberance.com)

Available as an accessory, this hand crafted egg shell coverlet consists of a soft, cushioned center encircled by a fine crepe fabric. The cushion lays snugly in the casket and the attached liner is generously gathered to create a coverlet. Both the coverlet and accompanying pillow are trimmed in a delicate white lace.
